Who can open an instructor's account page
Bug fix · Available now
An instructor can now only open their own Account and Activation pages. Any signed-in instructor could previously reach another instructor's page by its web address and see a form that would set that instructor's sign-in details. The same pages also showed an error for some instructors, which is resolved.
Submitting a workflow step twice
Bug fix · Available now
A workflow step that has already been completed no longer accepts a second submission. Completing the same step in a second browser tab, or after using the browser's Back button, previously recorded a conflicting outcome and left the registration stuck in a review configuration state. The first submission now stands and the later one is ignored.
Payment steps when the confirmation email fails
Bug fix · Available now
A payment now completes even if the confirmation email cannot be sent. During a mail provider outage on September 1 the step charged the payment and then showed an error, so parents and students who tried again were charged more than once. Contact your DualEnroll representative if a payment from that day needs to be refunded.

Account emails during a mail outage

Sign-up confirmation and welcome emails are now queued and retried instead of being sent while the page loads. If the mail provider was unavailable, creating an account could fail outright or the welcome email could be lost with nothing to resend. Both now wait and send once mail is flowing again.

Sharing one phone number across accounts
New feature · Available now
Two accounts can now hold the same phone number, so a family sharing one number can each have their own account. Accounts that could not be saved at all under the old rule are editable again, and support can add a shared number to a second account. Where a number belongs to more than one person, a password reset by text is declined and email reset is offered instead.

Abandoning a course registration

You can now abandon a course registration while it is waiting on an application response. The rules that block abandoning an application were also being applied to course registrations, which greyed the action out. Rules you have set for applications are unchanged.
Academic Discipline on admission applications
New feature · Available on request
If your college submits admission applications through Ellucian Ethos, the Academic Discipline can now come from the program the student selected instead of one college-wide value. Your existing college-wide value still applies wherever a program has no mapping of its own. Available on request: contact your DualEnroll representative to set up the program mapping.
Registrations when a student data update fails
Bug fix · Available now
If your college sends student attributes and cohorts to Ellucian Ethos, a registration now stops when that exchange fails. The step previously reported success and the registration completed, so your system never received the data and nothing signalled the gap. The registration now holds until the exchange succeeds.
Course section imports for Ethos colleges
Bug fix · Available now
A course pull now completes for colleges on Ellucian Ethos that do not filter which sections are imported. The import previously failed outright with an error instead of keeping every section. Nothing changes for colleges that do filter sections.
Drops in the file sent to your student system
Bug fix · Available now
Drops and withdrawals from terms that have closed no longer reappear in the file DualEnroll sends to your student system. One file carried 256 drop records from terms going back several years, each presented as new. Only current drops that have not been sent are included now.
Bulk Resubmit on large step queues
Bug fix · Available now
Bulk Resubmit now works through the whole queue in one run. On a step holding several hundred registrations it previously stopped partway, so the action had to be repeated with no indication of what was left.
Course review status for reviewers
Improvement · Available now
Reviewers now see where a course review stands even when the current step belongs to someone else. The status area was previously blank for them once a review moved on, so a dean had to ask a colleague where things stood. The same applies to ongoing requirements and instructor course views.
Abandoning a filtered set of registrations
Bug fix · Available now
Abandoning a filtered set of registrations no longer fails when the filter includes an application. A single application in the results previously stopped the whole batch, so none of the matched registrations were abandoned.
When a two-factor code is sent
Bug fix · Available now
A one-time sign-in code is now sent only after your password has been accepted. The code was previously sent as the challenge page loaded, before the password was checked, so codes could be triggered repeatedly for an account by anyone who knew the email address. How often a code can be sent is now paced as well.
Opening a high school's profile

High school staff can open their school's profile page again. The page returned an error instead of loading.
Removing a cell phone number
Bug fix · Available now
Clearing the Cell Phone field on the Student Account or Student Address page now removes the stored number. The page previously confirmed the change while keeping the old number, so neither students nor support could correct it.
The import file list
Improvement · Available now
The list of files you have imported is now paginated, so it loads quickly and older uploads are reachable. Colleges with long upload histories previously waited for every file to load into one page. Available where the import file list is turned on for your college.
Editing the Complete Course Review email
Improvement · Available now
The opening line of the Complete Course Review notification can be edited in Active View again. It was the one line of that email you could not change.

Grade scheme and academic level from the section
New feature · Available on request
If your college submits registrations to Ellucian Banner, DualEnroll can now take each registration's academic level and grade scheme from the section itself, instead of applying one college-wide default to every registration. Your existing default still applies to any section that does not specify its own, and a registration goes to review if the section's values cannot be matched. Available on request: contact your DualEnroll representative to turn it on.
Signing in with a two-factor code
Bug fix · Available now
Entering a correct two-factor code now signs you in. Since February a valid code returned an error while an incorrect one behaved normally, which made two-factor sign-in appear broken for everyone whose account uses it.
Who can complete the approver's enrollment confirmation
Bug fix · Available now
Only the assigned approver can now open and complete the Confirm Student Enrollment step. A student following the link from their own notification could previously complete it themselves, and be recorded as the approver in the registration history.
Ending a registration from the processing step
Bug fix · Available now
On the College: Processing Registration Request step, choosing to terminate a registration because the student is not able to take the course now ends the registration as intended. It previously stopped and showed a review configuration message instead of continuing.
Step Actions on completed registrations
Bug fix · Available now
The Step Actions menu now appears when you filter the Registrations page to the Complete status, so New Notifications can be sent on those registrations again. The options you see now follow your own role, rather than whichever colleague happened to load the page first.
Records of emails sent to an account
Bug fix · Available now
DualEnroll now keeps the record of what happened to an email, whether it was sent, delivered or bounced, even when the account it belongs to cannot be saved. Those records were previously discarded, leaving no delivery history at all for the affected accounts.
Answers saved as No on the application
Bug fix · Available now
An application question answered No now shows that answer when the page is reopened, and exports with the answer the student gave. A stored No was previously treated as an unanswered question and replaced with the field's default.
Opening a registration's history
Bug fix · Available now
The Registration History page now opens for every registration. A registration missing its underlying audit record previously returned an error and showed no history at all.
The Students Best Assessments report
Bug fix · Available now
The Students Best Assessments report now completes when a student has an assessment score recorded without a value. The whole report previously failed, so nobody received the file.
Saving dates on instructor credentials
Bug fix · Available now
Date fields on the instructor credentials form now save, and show the stored date when you reopen the record. They previously appeared to accept a date and then came back empty.
Login details in DualEnroll emails
Bug fix · Available now
Emails that tell a student how to sign in now show their email address as their login, instead of leaving that line blank. Students who created their own account since early July have no username, so the application-completed email, the reminder emails and the support tool had nothing to print there.
Registrations submitted to Ellucian Banner
Bug fix · Available now
If your college submits registrations to Ellucian Banner through its API, a registration that hits a Banner timeout or error response now retries automatically instead of stopping. Previously it could sit unfinished until DualEnroll support restarted the step by hand, with nothing to show that the student was never registered.
Reword more workflow notification emails

Your college's administrators can now edit the wording of four more workflow notification emails in place, including the articulation agreement notice and the message sent when an instructor's course review is not approved. The current wording stays exactly as it is until someone saves a change.
Opening a student's Account page
Bug fix · Available now
Opening a student's Account page no longer shows an error when the student confirmed their own account moments earlier. You now arrive on the account page with a short notice instead.
Setting up two-factor sign-in
Bug fix · Available now
The two-factor setup page no longer shows an error for users whose role has no two-factor rules configured. Those users now see every available method, narrowed to the ones their contact details support.
Resetting your password
Bug fix · Available now
Password reset now works for accounts created since early July. If you tried to reset your password and were told your login invitation had not been accepted, you can request a new reset and it will arrive by email or text.
Parent contact details on the application
Bug fix · Available now
When a student sets a parent or guardian’s contact preference to text, the Parent Information page now saves with only a cell phone number. It previously refused to save and asked for an email address the page itself had marked optional.
Term filters on the Registrations page

The broad “All Terms” and “All Visible Terms” options on the Registrations page can now be limited to your college’s administrators, so other staff filter within a defined set of terms and busy Registrations pages load faster. Ask DualEnroll Support to turn this on for your college.
Find students by their student number
Improvement · Available now
You can now search the All Student Accounts page by your college's student number as well as by name. Typing the start of a number finds the student even when a name is misspelled or two records look alike, and the search only ever matches numbers your college assigned.

Section drop and withdraw dates in the course sections report
Improvement · Available now
The course sections report now includes four new columns: Drop Start Date, Drop End Date, Withdraw Start Date and Withdraw End Date, taken from the dates set on each section. If your college sets deadlines section by section rather than relying on the term defaults, you can now review them across a whole term in one place. Sections with no dates set leave the columns blank.
Workflow Action Policies now cover drop and withdraw

Your college's workflow action policies can now govern every registration action: Drop, Withdraw, and their reversals join Abandon and Force Complete. DualEnroll also now blocks force-completing a registration whose credit card payment hasn't finished processing, so a payment can't be left uncollected.

Email now required for all new accounts

Creating a DualEnroll account now requires an email address, whether a student signs up or an administrator creates a staff account. Students no longer choose a username (your email is your login), and a cell phone number is now optional. Anyone with an existing account is unaffected and can keep signing in as before.

A clearer parent consent step

The parent consent step now shows a clear two-button choice: a green “Yes, I provide consent” and a red “No, I do not provide consent”, with an electronic signature required to say yes and the Complete button locked until a choice is made, so parents are far less likely to decline by mistake. Where your workflow offers the Spanish language toggle, the consent question, buttons, and signature label switch to Spanish along with the rest of the step. No setup needed.

Mark a workflow complete without a support ticket

College administrators can now close out a registration workflow themselves from the workflow menu. This is for enrollments handled outside DualEnroll, such as those entered directly in your SIS or where consent was gathered on paper. You give a reason and confirm, and the completion is recorded in the registration history.

Set your own rules for workflow actions

You can now view the platform rules that govern when the Abandon and Force Complete actions are available on a workflow, and add your college’s own rules, for example to block completing a workflow at a particular step. When a rule blocks an action, it now appears with the reason shown instead of simply disappearing.

Automatic reminder resends for stalled steps

DualEnroll can now automatically resend a workflow step’s notification to students and parents on a schedule, so steps that wait on someone to act, like Parent Consent, follow up on their own instead of waiting for staff to resend by hand. On the steps you choose, you set how often the reminder goes out and how many times it repeats, and each reminder is the same message the recipient received the first time. Staff reviewing a registration can see when the next automatic reminder is scheduled.

Filter the Course Finder by course category
New feature · Available now
Your college can now let students narrow the Course Finder to your own course categories, such as Gen Ed, CTE, or Transfer Pathway. You choose which categories appear, so students filter using the vocabulary you already use, and can select more than one to see every course in any of them. The filter turns on as soon as you include your first category, and works alongside the other Course Finder filters.

Fill in missing dates of birth on your Colleague records

If your college connects DualEnroll to Ellucian Colleague, you can now have DualEnroll fill in a student’s date of birth on a matched SIS record when it’s missing (taking it from the student’s application), so staff no longer re-key it by hand. It only fills a blank field and never changes a date of birth that’s already there. This one is available on request: contact your DualEnroll representative to turn it on for your college.

See what happened at every step in Registration History

A registration’s history now shows the outcome of each completed step (Approved, Declined, Completed, Skipped) in a new Outcome column, so you can see at a glance whether a parent approved consent or how a review was decided, without digging or asking support. It works on your existing registrations too, and there’s nothing to set up.

Remove students before class starts without Colleague rejecting it

If your college connects DualEnroll to Ellucian Colleague, removals made before a class starts are now reported with the code Colleague expects, clearing the “status is not valid for the current time period” errors that could leave a student stuck in a course. You set a Delete Period on each term to say when that applies, and the Drop option becomes available during that window. Available on request: contact your DualEnroll representative to turn it on.

Register many students at once through the DualEnroll API

If your college needs to enroll students in bulk, your IT or integration staff can now do it programmatically through the DualEnroll API instead of entering each registration by hand. DualEnroll creates the registrations and starts your normal registration workflow for each one, exactly as if staff had entered it. Full endpoint documentation is on your site at /api-docs.

Register students at any point in the term without Colleague rejecting it

If your college connects DualEnroll to Ellucian Colleague, registrations are now reported with the status code Colleague expects for the point in the term when they happen, clearing the “status not allowed” and “capacity exceeded due to add authorization” rejections that began after Colleague’s Q4 2025 update. To use it, set both Add Period dates on every term you register students into; a term left blank reports every registration as a new registration, which Colleague will reject once its add period opens. See when a registration was completed, not just last updated

The registration reports now include a Registration Completed On column, alongside Registration Started On and Registration Updated On, so you can read completion timing directly for reconciliation, audits and state reporting. Previously the closest value was last-updated, which changes any time a registration is touched. Two caveats before you rely on it: the column records the day a registration concluded, including registrations that were declined, and it appears on two of the four registration reports.

Filter an instructor’s ongoing requirements by type

When you open an instructor’s course profile, the Ongoing Requirements list now has a Type filter alongside Term, so you can go straight to the site visits or just the syllabus updates. Pick a type, a term, or both. The Type list covers every requirement type your college uses, not only the ones this instructor has, so picking a type can return an empty list.

Open an instructor’s history and notifications straight from the Instructors page

Each row on the Instructors page now has a three-dot options menu, giving you an instructor’s credential review History, its Notifications, and the Files attached to the review without a support request or a detour through another page. The same menu appears on the Course Reviews page under Credential Reviews. Note that it opens the instructor’s most recent credential review only, and that high school and district users can see the options but cannot open them.

Stop the course import from overwriting a course section

If your college brings course sections in from its SIS, a College Super Admin can now lock an individual section so the import leaves it alone: details, meeting times, fees and action dates all stay as your team set them. Locking does not make the section read-only, and it protects the section from the next import onward rather than undoing an earlier one.

See which parents have not yet responded to a consent request

The Parent Consent Report now shows consent requests that are still waiting or were declined, not only the ones a parent has approved, so you can see who has not responded and how long they have been waiting. If you feed this report into a spreadsheet or another system, check the guide before your next export: one column was renamed and now holds a different kind of value.

Show students which courses their high school pays for

If your local high schools agree to cover tuition for particular courses, you can now record those agreements on each course, and students see a Paid by [their high school] banner plus a Course Finder filter that narrows the list to what their own school covers. A new Contracted Courses report lists every agreement, and high school staff can run it for their own school. Available on request: contact your DualEnroll representative to turn it on.
