Step-by-step help for setting up and running dual enrollment.

Add high school users

Who this is for

College Administrator

Requires permission to manage high schools

Counselors and high school administrators need their own accounts before they can approve registrations or see their students. You create the account against the partner high school, set what it can do, and give them a password to change on first sign-in.

Before you start

Your role must allow you to manage high school users. If High Schools is missing from the Admin menu, you do not have that permission: ask your college administrator or the DualEnroll Help Desk.

District Administrators add high school users from the district pages instead. That form works differently, and these steps do not describe it.

Steps

Warning: With Invite User selected, saving the form emails the person immediately. Check the name, email address, and role before you save.

  1. From the Admin menu, open High Schools and select the high school.
  2. In the High School Users section, select Add. high school user add form
  3. Enter the user's Name, Email, and Role (all required).
  4. Choose how they'll get access:
    • Invite User (recommended): DualEnroll emails them a setup link and they choose their own password.
    • Activate User: you fill in LOGIN, NEW PASSWORD and CONFIRM PASSWORD, then pass the credentials to the person yourself. The login is a username you choose, not their email address, although they can sign in with either. Tick Require new password on login if you want them to replace the password you set.
  5. Select Create.

What success looks like

The user appears in the high school's user list, marked Invited or, if you activated them, Confirmed.

To send the invitation again, open the user's record while their status is still Invited, select Reinvite User, then select Confirm Account. The form opens with Activate User already selected, so you have to switch it back. Once someone is Confirmed there is no reinvite option, and there does not need to be: they already have a working sign-in.
