Step-by-step help for setting up and running dual enrollment.

Pay your student's course fee

Who this is for

Parent

When your student's college asks the family to pay for a course, DualEnroll emails you a link to the payment step. You can pay from that link with a card or a bank account, without creating an account of your own.

Before you start

You will receive an email from DualEnroll with a link to the payment step. Open that link to get started: you do not need a DualEnroll account to pay from the email link. Have a credit card, or your bank routing and account numbers, ready. At some colleges the same step asks for your consent and your payment together.

Steps

  1. Open the payment step from your email link. The page names your student, the course, the college, and the fee.
  2. If the step also asks for consent, read the enrollment information and type your first and last name in the electronic signature field.
  3. Choose Credit Card or eCheck. If the college adds a convenience fee, the page tells you the fee and the total charge for each method before you choose.
  4. For a credit card, fill in Cardholder First Name, Cardholder Last Name, Credit Card Number, Card Expiration Date, CVV2, and the billing address fields. For an eCheck, fill in your name, then Routing Number and Account Number, each entered twice to confirm.

Warning: completing this step charges you. A card is authorized right away and charged when the college finishes the registration; an eCheck is submitted to your bank when you complete the step. Check the amount and your details before you continue.

  5. Select Complete Step.

What success looks like

You see confirmation that the step is done, and your student's registration moves on. The charge appears on your statement under the college name rather than DualEnroll. If the college sends receipts, you will get one by email once the charge goes through.

If this doesn't work

  • The email link does not open the step. Links are specific to one task and can expire or be superseded by a newer email. Look for the most recent DualEnroll email, and contact the college dual enrollment office if none of them work.
  • Your card is declined. Nothing is charged and the step stays open, so you can return to the link and try another card or an eCheck.
  • You are asked to pay again after paying. This happens when a payment did not clear or was returned. The college can tell you what happened to the first payment.

Contact your student's college dual enrollment office about a fee amount, a payment you cannot place, or a refund. See also Complete the parent consent step.
