Who this is for
Student, Parent
Getting what looks like the same DualEnroll email twice usually means a step is still waiting on you, not that something is broken. DualEnroll sends reminders on a schedule until the step is done. Read on for how to tell a reminder from a duplicate, and how to stop them.
Symptom |
What you'll see |
|---|---|
The same email keeps arriving |
An identical DualEnroll message, usually a few days apart |
You already did what it asked |
Reminders continue after you completed the step |
You cannot get in to complete it |
The link asks you to sign in, or your password does not work |
A step is still waiting on you
The issue
When a step in your enrollment is still waiting on you, DualEnroll sends the same reminder again after a few days so it does not get missed. The repeat is the same message, not a new request.
How to fix it
- Complete the step the email is asking about. If it is asking for parent consent, see Complete the parent consent step.
- Reminders also stop on their own once the college's set number has been sent.
You already completed the step
The issue
If you have finished what the email asks for and reminders keep arriving, the enrollment may not have recorded your action.
How to fix it
Contact the college running your dual enrollment program. They can check the status of the enrollment and confirm it went through.
You cannot get into your account to complete it
The issue
A parent completing a step from a link in a DualEnroll email does not need an account or a password. A student, or a parent who has claimed an account, signs in as normal.
How to fix it
- If you are a parent, open the link in the most recent email and complete the step there.
- If you have an account and cannot sign in, reset your password. Instructions can come by email or by text message. See Sign in to DualEnroll.
Still stuck?
Contact the college running your dual enrollment program. They can see where your enrollment is and what it is waiting on. Tell them:
- your name, and your student's name if you are a parent
- the subject line and the date of the email you keep receiving
- what the email is asking you to do
- whether you have already completed that step, and roughly when
If your college cannot resolve it, you can also submit a request to the Help Desk.
