Step-by-step help for setting up and running dual enrollment.

Check an instructor's credential review

Who this is for

College Administrator, College Workflow Reviewer

Requires permission to read credential review workflows

A credential review moves through several steps and sends notifications along the way, and none of that is visible from the instructor's record alone. The review's history shows every step taken, who acted, and what DualEnroll sent.

Before you start

  • You need access to the Instructors page in your college workspace.
  • The instructor must have a credential review, either one in progress or one that has finished. Instructors who have never been through a review have nothing to show.

Steps

Warning: If you are permitted to reset reviews, the same menu also contains Reset. It puts the instructor’s credential review back to its first step and notifies the people involved again. The steps already run stay on the History page, but the review’s recorded outcome and its progress through the workflow are cleared. You are asked to confirm first; only confirm if you mean to restart the review.

  1. Open Instructors in your college workspace. The same list also appears on the Course Reviews page, under Credential Reviews.
  2. Find the instructor. Narrow the list with the Status, Type, Account, High School, Step and Instructor filters at the top of the page.
  3. On the instructor’s row, at the far right, click the options button (···).
  4. Choose History to see every workflow step that has run on the review: the step name, what it resolved to, whose role it belonged to, who acted, any comment they left, and when.
  5. Or choose Notifications to see every notification DualEnroll has sent about the review: the step it came from, when it was sent, who sent it, who received it, and the subject. Click a subject to read the message that went out. Where an automatic resend is still queued for a step, the date it is due to go out is shown above the list.
  6. Files on the same menu lists the documents attached to the review.
  7. Use Back at the foot of the page to return to the list.

What success looks like

History opens on a page headed History for [instructor name], listing the review’s completed steps oldest first. A review that has run more than one workflow gets one table per workflow, and a table longer than 20 steps is paged. Notifications opens on Notifications for [instructor name], listing what was sent. If nothing has happened yet, each page says so rather than showing an empty table.

If this doesn’t work

  • There is no options button on the row. The menu appears only once the instructor has a credential review with a workflow attached. An instructor who has never been put through a review will not have one.
  • History does not show course reviews or ongoing requirements. It covers the credential review only. For a course review, open it from the Course Reviews page and use its own history. For ongoing requirements, see Find and filter ongoing requirements.
  • You can only reach the most recent review. If an instructor has been reviewed more than once, the menu opens the latest review. Earlier reviews are not reachable from here.
  • The Delivery column is empty on Notifications. That is normal. Delivery fills in only when DualEnroll has recorded a problem with an address, such as a bounce. Blank means nothing went wrong.
  • You get an error page after choosing History or Notifications. These views need permission to read instructor credential review workflows. High school and district staff usually do not have it, even though the menu still appears on their list. Ask a college administrator to look it up for you, or contact the Help Desk.
